Vagator Beach

about 22-24 kilometers away from Panaji, Vagator beach is one of the most beautiful beaches of Goa as well as the whole world.
The beach lies on the northern side of the Bardez taluka. Offering a reach of soft white sands, coconut palms, and a scenic view of the Arabian Sea, the Vagator beach has become a hot favorite tourist destination among the tourists. .
A lush green landscape full of swaying palm trees and water turning aquamarine to emerald treats eyes. Vagator is an attractive little bay between rocky headlands with a small series of small beaches particularly attractive in the early morning, though the sea is not always safe for swimming.

Many of the famous beaches of Goa are located near the Vagator beach. These include Chapora, Anjuna, Baga and Calangute beaches. All these beaches form a chain of beaches in north Goa that are among the foremost tourist attractions in Goa.
The beach is split into two by seaside headland, to the north is North Vagator Beach and towards the south is Ozrant beach or the mini Vagator beach

Chapora fort
this 500 years old fort offers a splendid view of the adjoining coast and the hills at a distance.

Vagator springs
the two fresh water springs in Vagator are among its major tourist attractions. One is located at the foot of a hill at the north Vagator beach, the other being in Ozrant, and is called Zor in the local language.

Chapora Village
the small fishing village adjoining the beach is an interesting location that can be explored to get a feel of the local way of life.
How to Reach There:
By Air
Dabolim airport, 29 kilometers away from Panaji which is 22 kilometers from Vagator, is the nearest airport.

By Rail
Karmali is the nearest railway station, 11 kilometers from Panaji.

By Road
Mapusa is just 9 kilometers away. You will get frequent buses from Mapusa and Panaji to Vagator and Chapora. The nearby places can be reached by hiring motorbikes, or by taxis or auto rickshaws..

GOA-VARCA BEACH


VARCA Beach

VARCA beach is about 2 kms south of Benaulim Beach in South Goa.
The major attractions around here are the Benaulim Beach, Margao etc.
The best time to come to this place is from November to March.
As Varca Beach is very close to Benaulim, a traveller who comes to Benaulim has to visit Varca also.
The beach is covered with soft white sands and black lava rocks. The place is scattered with the row of wooden fishing boats of the local fishermen. The palm-thatched long houses add to the beauty of the grassy sand dune of the area.
The relaxed atmosphere of Varca beach allows tourists to spend most of the day on the beach, broken up by an digression to go dolphin spotting and then back again in time for tea in one of the shacks run by local residents serving the most unbelievable local sea food and local liquor.

For local transport also scooters and cycles are easily available on hire basis.

GOA - Majorda Beach




The Majorda Beach is one of the most wonderful tourist destinations in the Beach Capital of India-Goa. The soft white sands will not fail to sweep you off your feet. The beautiful greens are clubbed well with the marvelous whites!


It is believed as per the Ramayana in Goa that when Lord Rama was a child he was kidnapped and brought to Majorda! Later, again in life while in quest of His consort Sita He came to the Cabo-de-Rama, which lies at the southern end of the Majorda beach.
Goa Majorda beach is very famous for delicious breads. Majorda beach in Goa has a very interesting history behind it. Majorda is the village where the Jesuits, fond as they were of the good things of life, discovered the best Goan toddy which they used to leaven the bread. Naturally, then, Majorda in Goa is the place where the Goans were first trained in the delicate art of baking European breads.
The history of Majorda is noteworthy for its bakery and toddy. The sap of the coconut palm i.e. toddy was used to raise the bread.

Today the Majorda beach has become a major tourist attraction with the merger of nature and surroundings.

Majorda is the appreciate of fun and food. You name it and Majorda has it from fresh seafood to the Schinus specialties and steaks.

In terms of accommodation there is a wide variety of luxury hotels and budget shelters.

Mobor Beach is a beautiful beach at the end of the 10 kilometer long sand beach stretching all the way from Colva.
Mobor Beach is an ideal location for the adventure tourists. It is one of the most popular beaches in Goa, which enables the tourists to indulge in adventure sports such as water skiing, water surfing, jet ski, banana and bump rides and parasailing.
The beach can be visited throughout the year; however, the best months to visit Mobor are between the months of September and March.

The Mobor is one of the most popular tourist sites in the city. Every year thousands of tourists come to the beach to indulge in water sports. In fact, the Cavelossium-Mobor is famous for water sports.
The water sports at Mobor beach at Goa include speed boat rides, Jet Ski, water skiing, banana and bump rides, wind surfing, parasailing and many others. These water sports takes place behind the Betty Palace.
Besides the water sports, tourists can also enjoy the thrill of biking in the beach. Biking in the sand seems to be a favorite activity of the tourists coming to Mobor beach.

Eating Joints
A combination of entertainment lounge, slot machine, casino and discotheque, Aqua really swings in the season.
Swimming unassisted can be dangerous at most of the beaches because of the strong undercurrents. Consulting the lifeguards is a must before venturing out into the waters.

By Rail
The nearest railway station is at Karmali, which is 11 km from Panaji while Panaji is 39 km from Colva.

By Road
There are frequent transport facilities to reach the Mobor Beach. Private taxis and autos are available from the Airport and the railway station to reach the beach.

Miramar Beach is the nearest beach from the capital of the Goa, Panaji. The beach is just 3 km from Panaji in the north of the state and a km away from Dona Paula. It lies meeting the body of water of the river Mandovi as it opens into the Arabian sea.

The word 'Miramar' in Portuguese stands for viewing the sea. On account of its good location, the Miramar Beach of Goa is ideal for evening walks.
This Goa beach is popularly known as "Gasper Dias". A lovely golden beach of soft sand deadened with palm trees, Miramar is one of the most popular beaches.

Framed by black rocks lined with coconut palms, Miramar beach's distinctive feature is its location. Due to its closeness to the city of Panaji, the beach has become very commercialized. While it is pleasant and temperate from October to May it is rainy from June to September.

Miramar Beach also known as Gaspar Dias is a lovely golden beach of soft sand griddled with palm trees facing the blue Arabian Sea, where River Mandovi meets the Arabian Sea and a thick grove of shady palms form a dense canopy over the area.
The 2 km long coast boasts of fine, soft silvery sand bed that sparkle in the moonlight. From here one can have a panoramic view of the Aguada fort just across the Mandovi River.

The Main Attraction of Miramar Beach
The migratory birds, like Plovers and Gulls return to Miramar beach each winter, as it gives them a brief respite from the harsh winter back home. Here they find food in plenty in the form of aquatic invertebrates, seeds and insects.

How to Reach the Miramar Beach
Regular bus and taxi services are easily available from the Panaji city.
The nearest airport to Panaji is Dabolim 29 km.

Anjuna is a small village in north Goa, on the shores of the Arabian Sea. It lies 18 km away from Panaji, the capital of Goa. It exacted popularity for its Trance Parties and the Hippies who tried to analyze the spiritual traditions of the East and the art, ideas and the music of the West.

GOA-Dona Paula beach


Goa Dona Paula beach, connected with a romantic myth, is one of the hottest tourist spot in Goa. The beauty of Goa Dona Paula beach has been enhanced by a skittery past which has the tourists mobbing to this place People multitude the Dona Paula beach not only to enjoy the sun and the sea but also to indulge in water sports on the clear waters.

At the place where two of Goa's famous rivers meet the Arabian Sea is the reclusive bay of Dona Paula with a fine view of the Marmagao Harbour. 7-km from Panjim, drew close on the south side of the rocky, hammer-shaped headland that divides the Zuari and Mandovi bodies of water, this former fishing village is nowadays a commercialized resort.

The beach is named after Dona Paula de Menzes, daughter of a viceroy , who threw herself off the drop, when refused permission to marry a local fisherman, The myth says that Dona Paula is laid to rest in the Cabo Chapel of the Raj Bhawan and is supposed to be seen emerging from the moonlit waves wearing only a pearl necklace.
With the romance and myth attached to it—haunted by Dona Paula de Menzes—tourists pack the Dona Paula Beach not only in search of the deceased beloved, but also to indulge in water sports on the clear waters.
This beach has also been the location for many Indian movies, the most famous being Ek Duje Ke Liye. Given this dual attraction, Dona Paula Beach has become a popular tourist spot

The Dona Paula Beach offers an opportunity to the tourists to have a sunbath and buy cheap seaside goods from local vendors.
