Majestic Kashmir- India

Dear Guys last vacation when I was decided to visit the “Nandanvan of India” Kashmir and see all the places. It is really a majestic of nature with beautiful places and everforgottan memories.
The tour is like start from Shrinagar.

Srinagar • Gulmarg • Sonmarg • Pahalgam • Katra

Gulmarg driving past willow trees, fast flowing streams and lush green meadows. Gulmarg - the ‘meadow of flowers’ is an apt term for this idyllic flower-laden meadow offering a spectacular View of towering snow capped peaks covered with dense forests of tall conifers, gigantic firs and pine trees. Take a leisurely stroll or pony rides across the green meadows to one of the world’s highest Golf Courses. A must is a fun-filled ride with compliments of Cox and Kings in the newly
Introduced Gondola Lift. Then proceed on a city tour visiting the Shankracharya temple situated atop a hill followed by the famous Mughal gardens - Chasmashahi, Nishad & Shalimar (Closed on Friday). These gardens were the Mughal Emperors’ concept of Paradise and even today are popular picnic spots. Also visit a local handicrafts shop where you can purchase local hand crafted items - shawls, jackets, bed covers, paper mache, carpets and much more! The rest of the evening is at leisure. You could stroll along the Dal Lake or explore the local markets or simply watch the romantic shikaras.

Today embark on a full day excursion to the picturesque ‘meadow of gold’ - Sonmarg. The fast flowing Sindh River makes it popular for trout and mahseer fishing in summer. You can opt for a pony ride to one of the glaciers for some fun in the snow and ice.

Pahalgam the ‘valley of shepherds’ which is situated at the confluence of the streams flowing from the river Ladder and Sheshnag Lake. Enroute visit the Awantipura ruins, an 1100 year old temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and built by King Awantivarman. On arrival into Pahalgam, check into your hotel and enjoy the surrounding beauty.

In Katra visit to Mata Vaishnodevi – approx. 14 kms one way as per your own preferred time proceed to Banganga from where you will trek up the Mata Vaishnodevi Temple. Every day of the year, a mass of humanity surges up steep pathways that Cut across the hillside for mile after mile. Popular belief holds that anybody who walks the Himalayan trail to her abode to ask for a wish rarely goes back disappointed. There are many who journey here to pay obeisance regardless of their faith, class, caste or religion, for Mata Vaishnodevi transcends all such barriers.
